Board of Directors
Boys To Men USA is governed by a volunteer board of directors committed to expanding access to mentoring for boys across the country. Our board members bring expertise in nonprofit leadership, law, finance, education, and community development.
Boys To Men USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded to support and scale the Boys To Men Mentoring model nationally. Our board provides strategic guidance and governance to ensure the long-term sustainability of this work—and the mission of transforming the lives of boys through mentoring.
Boys To Men USA, Inc. is a Delaware corporation, founded in 2016.
Board Officers
Dave Bolduc
Board Chair
Dave Bolduc serves as Board Chair of Boys to Men USA, the National Service Center, and as Board Chair Mentor for Boys to Men Mentoring Network of Virginia. Retired after 41 years with Kimberly-Clark Corporation—16 in Operations Management and 25 as a Senior Consultant overseeing all capital projects in K-C’s North American Distribution Centers—Dave holds a BS in Chemical Engineering and an MBA. He co-founded the Boys to Men Center in New England in 2008, serving as Executive Director and Treasurer until relocating to Virginia in 2010. Before joining Boys to Men, Dave served four years as a Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters and six years as a board member and Treasurer for his church in Connecticut. He resides with his wife Teresa in the Woodlake area of Chesterfield, VA.
Scott “Corky” Sigurdson
Vice Chair
Scott “Corky” Sigurdson is an original member of Boys To Men San Diego, where he has served as a volunteer in a multitude of roles over 30 years—his father Herb, brother Joe, and their great friend Craig McClain co-founded Boys To Men Mentoring in 1996. Corky brings a background in law enforcement as a deputy sheriff, executive management across several large national companies, and 25 years in healthcare engineering management with a focus on infectious control, epidemiology, and disaster response; he has served as Secretary Emeritus of the California Society for Healthcare Engineering’s San Diego Chapter for 19 years. A graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder, Corky currently lives at the Boys To Men San Diego Retreat Ranch on Palomar Mountain—the same mountain that hosts the Father-Son Weekend each fall.
Walter Augustine
Secretary
Walter Augustine is an entrepreneur and dedicated mentor born and raised in New Orleans. After serving as a nuclear reactor operator in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Long Beach, he earned a degree in electrical engineering from Tulane University and in 1987 founded Enterprise Integration Corporation, a government contracting firm that continues to thrive today. Walter served as Executive Director of Boys to Men Mentoring of Greater Washington and has served as a Board Member and Chair of the Finance Committee for Boys to Men USA since its inception. A licensed private pilot, Walter and his wife raised three children—who went on to attend MIT, Berklee College of Music, and USC—and his life reflects a steadfast commitment to service, leadership, and family.
John Davis
Treasurer
John Davis currently serves as Treasurer of Boys to Men USA, as well as Chair of the Governance Committee, and is a member of both the Executive and Finance Committees. John retired after serving as Chief Financial Officer for several Silicon Valley hi-tech corporations. He holds a B.S. in Accounting and an MBA in Finance, and is a longstanding member of the Boys to Men USA board, having served for ten years.

Michael Bonahan
Member At Large - Founder, Boys To Men Hawai'i
Michael Bonahan is the founder of Boys To Men Hawaiʻi and was the founding national board chair of Boys To Men USA. He is a Certified Leader Trainer for the ManKind Project, where he serves as National Coordinator and co-author of the curriculum. A certified business coach and shadow work practitioner, Michael facilitates transformational processes including gestalt, in-utero regression, transpersonal connection, and systemic constellation therapies. As an instructional designer he has authored more than a dozen workshops, including MKP’s Unpacking Power Privilege & Difference, Holding Space, and the new Introduction to Multicultural Leadership. Michael is a founding partner of Wisdom Windfall and lives in Hawaii with his partner of more than 40 years.
Mirabai Galashan
Member At Large - Executive Director, Girls To Women Mentoring Hawai'i
Mirabai Galashan is the founder and Executive Director of Girls To Women Mentoring Hawaiʻi and has more than 25 years of experience supporting growth and healing through circles, workshops, and retreats. A coach, trainer, and counselor, Mirabai brings extensive clinical experience working with children and adolescents as a board-certified healthcare chaplain and mobile youth crisis therapist. She serves on the Boys To Men USA board, bringing a deep commitment to the conviction that every young person deserves a community of caring adults who will show up for them.
Al Nodarse
Member At Large - Chair, Development Commitee
Al Nodarse built a career helping organizations grow—starting with more than eight years at Lanier, known as the “Marines of Sales Training,” then setting up global sales operations across Europe, Latin America, and Asia, and ultimately owning two sales consulting firms over an 18-year span. Along the way he served on more than 20 nonprofit boards focused on fundraising, and eventually made the decision to devote himself full-time to mission-driven work. He has served as Executive Director of Faithful Friends, a youth mentoring organization in Portland, Oregon, where he has worked to expand the organization’s reach into Portland’s Latino and Catholic communities. Al grew up in a Latino-Catholic household and brings entrepreneurial discipline, global experience, and a deep personal commitment to mentoring to his work on the Boys To Men USA board.
Joe Sigurdson
Member At Large - Co-Founder, Boys To Men Mentoring
Joe Sigurdson is a co-founder of Boys To Men Mentoring Network, which he launched in 1996 in La Mesa, California alongside his father Herb and their great friend Craig McClain. Joe’s commitment to mentoring boys grew out of his own journey—a challenging early adulthood that transformed into decades of service building one of the most effective youth mentoring organizations in the country. Today, Boys To Men Mentoring reaches nearly 800 boys each week across San Diego County, and Joe remains deeply involved in the mission he helped start.
Tom Steger
Member At Large - Digital Technology & Media
Tom Steger’s passion for this work ignited on his ManKind Project NWTA weekend in late 2022—and his personal mission, “I create a world of safety by being nurturing,” found its ideal home in Boys To Men. He began advising the BTM USA board in late 2022 and joined formally in late 2023, serving in roles including board secretary and Development Committee chair, and currently serves as the organization’s archivist, digital marketing advisor, and webmaster. Tom brings a 35-year career in information technology, project management, and software development—including 21 years in automotive digital marketing—along with a decade as a mentor and coach. Tom grew up in Michigan and earned his Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University. A multidisciplinary artist and audio engineer, he lives in the Detroit Metropolitan area with his partner and their teenage son.
Attila Tota
Member At Large - North County Program Manager, San Diego Center
Attila Tota is the North County Program Manager for Boys To Men Mentoring, where he has led in-school group mentoring circles for 15 years. A Hungarian immigrant whose family fled Russian occupation during the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, Attila grew up in San Diego and graduated from San Diego State University with a B.A. in Marketing before a 30-year career in telecommunications spanning executive roles at AT&T, Cox Business Services, and several high-tech startups. A cancer survivor who lost his dominant arm in emergency surgery—and then taught himself to surf again out of love for the ocean—Attila models the tenacity he hopes to instill in every boy he mentors. His passion is watching young men overcome their limitations and succeed in life.
