BTM USA Board members Michael Bonahan and Mirabai Galashan are both coaches who have extensive expertise designing and leading trainings, and are passionate about supporting mentors to develop their skills to support the mental health and safety of the youth under the care. Mirabai also contributes her professional experience in this subject matter area as a mental health crisis outreach therapist for Children and Adolescents.
Michael Bonahan is the founder of Boys to Men Hawai’i and was the founding national board chair of Boys to Men USA.
He is a Certified Leader Trainer for the ManKind Project where he serves as the National Coordinator and a co-author of the curriculum. A certified business-coach and shadow work practitioner, Michael is a facilitator for transformational processes including gestalt, in-utero regression, transpersonal connection, and systemic constellation therapies.
As an instructional designer he has authored more than a dozen workshops, including MKP’s Unpacking Power Privilege & Difference, Holding Space, and the new Introduction to Multicultural Leadership.
Michael is a founding partner of Wisdom Windfall and lives in Hawaii with his partner of more than 40 years.
Mirabai Galashan
Mirabai Galashan is a member of the Boys to Men USA board, the founder and executive director of Girls to Women Mentoring Hawai’i, and has over 25 years experience of supporting growth and healing through circles, work role and retreats.
Mirabai is a coach, trainer and counselor and has extensive experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical capacity as a board certified healthcare chaplain and mobile youth crisis therapist.
